ASSISTANT IN NURSING (AIN) Image

ASSISTANT IN NURSING (AIN)

Assistant in Nursing (AIN) is that amazing link between the patient and resident nurses. They provide support services to registered and enrolled nurses (RN, EN) as well as general personal care of the patient. This is a wonderful job with many important responsibilities.

These key responsibilities vary depending on the healthcare setting in which an AIN finds themselves. At Caring for You nursing agency, our AINs are typically tasked the following:

  • Assist with basic care needs in daily living.
  • Relay resident enquiries to the RN and explain the answers given. The AIN is the link between the RN and the resident
  • Record resident outcomes and status appropriately
  • Report workplace risks to management
  • Report resident risks to management
  • Change simple dressings

The Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (EEN) is a member of the care team and assists in the delivery of competent, quality nursing care including medication administration under the direction of the Registered Nurse, Care Services Manager and/or Nurse Unit Manager.

As an Enrolled Nurse, you know all about taking responsibility. In fact, you rise to the challenge, and you put your patients and colleagues first each and every day. Here is an overview of the key responsibilities if you join the Caring for You team.

  • Assists the Registered Nurse with coordinating care including resident/patient assessment, care planning and core evaluation
  • Plans as allocated the delivery of care according to individual resident/patient care plans and documented Policies and Procedures
  • Assists the Registered Nurse with reviewing and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions, in partnership with residents/patients and/or their representatives
  • Manages and supervises a safe medication administration system
  • Consult with Medical Professionals and other Allied Health Professionals as required
  • Assist and support the Personal Care Attendants/Assistants in Nursing to complete allocated tasks on a shift by shift basis
  • Assists Personal Care Attendants/Assistants in Nursing with ongoing personal development
  • Assists and supervises Personal Care Attendants/Assistants in Nursing with the delivery of resident/patient clinical care needs
  • Develops and maintains a professional rapport with residents/patients and their families

REGISTERED MIDWIFE JOBS Image

The Registered Midwife is responsible for the provision of patient / client focused holistic midwifery care to those assigned to him/her, in order to achieve desired clinical outcomes.

At Caring for You nursing agency, our key responsibilities for a Registered Midwife include the following:

  • Provision of direct patient care through a consumer centred approach and within scope of practice
  • Midwifery care for allocated patients
  • Ensures all work is completed accurately on time and in accordance with client's policies and procedures
  • Ongoing patient assessment, monitoring and consultation
  • Involve patient and family in care planning and goal setting
  • Explanations of services provided
  • Arrange appropriate schedules for patient care
  • Ensure appropriate referrals to other members of the interdisciplinary team as necessary
  • Education to the mother and family members
  • Be Accountable for your own Midwifery practice within the guidelines as established by AHPRA
  • Ensure provision of care is within guidelines of the current policies and procedures of the Client
  • Maintain patient records in accordance with Hospital/Department standards
  • Maintain responsibility for the delivery of high quality, holistic care to the patient
