We would like to invite you to attend the Wounds & Compression Therapy Workshop. This is a small workshop group, great for new and existing EEN's and RN's.
COURSE CONTENT
On completion of this course participants will be able to:

Identify key information to discuss with residents to support successful establishment of goals in wound care.

Relate the stages of normal wound healing to commonly encountered skin integrity issues in older adults living in residential aged care.

Discuss the importance of holistic assessment and comprehensive documentation when planning, implementing and reviewing wound management.

Demonstrate appropriate dressing selection based on different wound characteristics and resident preferences.

Critique best practice in the assessment, prevention, identification and management of pressure injuries for residents in aged care.

Develop a plan for attaining further practical and theoretical knowledge to gain increasing competency in wound management.
