As we move further into the miserable and cold months of winter, it becomes more difficult to prevent yourself from getting sick. With more and more people coming down with the flu and those terrible colds, it's time to take action against those dreaded viruses. After all, no one wants to be a coughing, sniffling mess do they? Here are our 7 tips to prevent you from getting sick this winter! 1. Always wash your hands. A little bit of personal hygiene can go a long way in preventing the spread of germs. Make sure you avoid touching your mouth, eyes and nose without washing your hands. For extra protection against germs, keep a hand sanitiser on you for emergencies. 2. Get vaccinated with the flu shot. This is one of the best ways to avoid getting the flu. Although it's not 100% effective, it will definitely decrease your chances of getting sick this winter.

4. Eat healthy meals and get enough good nutrients.
5. Continue to exercise regularly.
6. Keep surroundings clean. Try and drink plenty of fluids to stay healthy. A great beverage to have in the wintertime is a hot green tea with lemon and honey it contains antioxidants and can act as an antibacterial.
